Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I can see by the reflections left that you are loved and missed by many. Your family is in my heart's embrace.

Hey I know you already know passed my classes moving forward into the field you helped me out with. I can't believe it's been three years but you know you have Rich with you. I know you two have a ping pong table and make off the wall noises and jokes. I know you are happy to have your friend with you. Keep an eye on all of us tell Rich to do the same. When I get the job you'll be the first to know well of course Rich too. Man I miss you Steve. Running across parking lots and busting people's nose's! I will keep you posted. Miss you!

Steve,

Thanks for the sign you sent this past weekend. I know it was from you. It had to be.

I still miss you more than ever and there is not 1 day that goes by that you are not thought of. Thanks for all the laughs that you continue to provoke. What a gift you left us all. You're not even here and still are able to make us laugh.

Til we meet again treasured friend.

Pean,
It's been 3 years since that horrible day when you were taken from us, and a day doesn't go by that I am not thinking of ya. Missing those stupid prank calls, that wonderful laugh, great sense of humor and most of all the friendship we had. Love ya buddy.

Sgt. Gaughan, We never had a chance to meet as your life was taken too early. I and the rest of my academy peers have heard nothing but the best of you. We visited the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall in D.C. the other Friday and I was touched by stories of who you were and how much you meant to the members and families of this great department. You are in our prayers always.

Happy Birthday Steve. We are coming up on 3 years...they said it would get easier, well, its not. It still feels like it was just yesterday you were taken from us but at the same time it feels like you've been gone forever. Thank you for watching over me. The Wedding Singer and I will be out to visit you on Saturday.

Happy Birthday! Cant believe that it is June already--Father's Day, your birthday and the anniversary of your murder within 2 weeks of each other. You continue to be missed every single day not only by your family but by your friends and Police Family. Rest easy and sleep with the Angels.

Steve,

I think of you often. Memories of how you use to make me laugh keeps me going somehow.
I think of you and John and all the fun times you shared at work and off duty.

You are surely missed Steve. I pray for you and your family.

I still cannot believe that you and my brother are gone.

Throughout my career in law enforcement, I have attended too many memorials for great men who gave their all for the citizens of their communities. The loss is terrible for all of us when we lose a brother, but my prayers are with your family. They will continue to suffer their loss for years.

I am the son-in-law of Officer Alfred Steinat who was killed on duty as a Prince Georges County Officer in 1963. We just passed the 45th anniversary of his death, and the pain is still there for his family.

I salute you and those who have the strength and dedication to serve the public at the risk of their own life, and I also salute those who stand behind you, your families.

Rest in peace Brother Gaughan.

I come to this page often and am reminded of all the fun times we shared. I miss you daily and think about you and your family often. I know that you are watching us closely and still making people laugh. I can't help but to smile when I hear your name. I miss you.
