Master Police officer I only had the pleasure of knowing Derek for a very short time. I met him earlier this year when he was teaching at the Corrections Academy. The first time I met him during our defensive tactics class I though we were done for, I thought he was going to work us to death, but he didn't he was a very caring guy he just wanted to make sure we understood everything they were teaching us. He wanted to know that we would be able to defend ourselves if need be. I only wish I had the chance to actually work with you I think I could have learned so much more from you. Derek you will never be forgotten, just the other day I was told by an FTO that i should try to make my officer presence like DW because he was "a perfect example." It was an honor to have you as a teacher I truley admired you. God Bless you and your family. Correctons Officer Jaime Dennis MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND MAY HE GRANT YOU THE STRENGTH TO CARRY ON AND KEEP HIS MEMORIES ALIVE TO ALL 911 DISPATCHER, ERICA TOLSON
