Hey Nick,
I know you saw Gavin score the winning goal on Saturday.
I took Gavin shopping for clothes. I told him he is just like you. I felt like I was shopping with you again. Remember one of the last times you and I went shopping together? It was at Dillards and you helped me pick out shirts for James.
I know you enjoyed your visit with Dad, Mom and Payton today. I heard Payton was talking to you and sang Happy Birthday. She is so cute. Everytime we see a police car, she says My Uncle Nick and Papa drove one of those. I so wish that you could have been here when she was born. She is in pre-school now and is getting so much older. She wants to do everything Gavin and Bobby do. She just doesn't understand why her teeth won't come loose like the boys so she can put them under the pillow. I told her she still has 3 more years.

I can't believe the boys are in first grade this year. They are growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday that they we born.
Bobby has been asking a lot about the day you were killed, I guess he is tring to figure out why it happened. He is so sweet. I wish you could have stayed on earth longer, so he could have known how awesome you are. You are a hero.

Payton starts pre-school on Tuesday. I hope she likes it and isn't afraid to go. I know you saw us at the fair riding the elephant. She is so funny. Payton talks about you alot.

I hope everything is going good with you. We miss you so much down here. You know that Mom and Dad went to present the award for Weed & Seed that was named after you in Florida. While they were there, they were able to talk to alot of people and help some people who have recently lost their sons in the line of duty. I am just amazed at Mom & Dad, they have been helping people since the day you were taken from us.(well, before that too as you know) They are so strong and are able to help everyone depsite what is going on in their lives.
I know that Heather & I were not really happy with Mom going on this trip but we were just worried about her being so far away. I know that this meant alot to her and dad to be able to present the awards.
We got to see Gavin on Saturday. He was so cute and he reminds me more of you everyday. We went to the Magic House and it was so fun to see all three of the kids playing together and the boys are always trying to help Payton learn new things. Payton is also always with the boys trying to keep up because she is not a baby anymore, she is 3. I took alot of pictures and when Gavin talked to Dad on the phone, he put part of a bagel in his mouth and I started laughing because it reminded me of you. James said remember when you would call Nick on the phone and he would answer and talk no matter what he was doing.... You know the rest :)

Happy 30th Birthday!!! I told you we would still celebrate. Heather & I weren't turning 30 without you. We miss you so much. We are going to the cemetary and Payton is making chocolate chip cookies for you and wants to wear a pretty dress for your birthday.
Please be with Mom and help her through her continued treatment. It was so great when I saw Mom and Dad at the airport. They have so many great friends that have helped so much.
Well, I am sure that you guys will have a few beers to celebrate. Please continue watching down on all of us and I can't wait to be able to see you again when we will all be together again.

Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday.... We are at the airport in Jacksonville, Florida waiting to return home after a two week stay. Mom got some positive news at the Mayo Clinic but she will have a tough time ahead getting better. We will be home in time for your 30th birthday. Hope things are going ok up there! Watch over Mom and Dad. I know you are with them, we saw the signs this morning. Thanks!!! Let Mom get the answers she needs. I know she is nervous but this is such a great thing for her. I told her this morning that no matter what they find out, we will be here with her every step of the way not to mention her wonderful angel.
I was driving the explorer home from work today and thought about when you looked at it and we came with you. Also, right after I had surgery and then Grandma died and I was riding with you and James. You kept worrying to make sure I wasn't in pain and tried not to hit too many bumps. You were always looking out for me, thanks!

Thanks for the beautiful day outside for my birthday. The best present that I could receive was that Mom made it out of surgery and she is fine. It was so great when we saw her last night and I know she has a long road ahead of her but we will be with her every step of the way. She also has the best angel looking out for her.
I know you were watching Gavin's last soccer game last weekend. He is just like you. I love it when we have all 3 kids together. They just make you laugh so hard.
We miss you so much and wish you were here with us.
