Your heroism and service is honored today, the 99th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Officer Bennett, today marks the 98th anniversary of your murder. You gave your life in the protection of one of the things that made this country great, it's railroads. I thank you for your efforts to protect and serve, both with the Texas and Pacific Railroad and Dallas County.
