Your heroism and service is honored today, the 92nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Policeman Barney - I recently found more information about you on the internet for Los Angeles. Your first name was Orimel. You died while fighting a fire at the Soldier's Home, what we now call the V.A. Hospital in Westwood. It says that you had only recently returned to LAPD after resigning due to being previously injured.

Sir, your valor stands tall among the deeds which go along with the names on our memorials. Rest easy, now, we'll carry on from here.
