Bennie, A year before your tragic death, while living in Las Cruces, you and your wife Rita, and your children were our neighbors. On a dark winter night my mother and I were trying to return from El Paso. We became delayed in bad weather on I-10. You noticed we hadn't made it home and at a late hour you came looking for us, and found us. That's the kind of officer and gentleman you were, and that is how you and your family will always be remembered. Thank you. For my Mom,(Agnes-now deceased) and myself, it was an honor to know you. God bless you. Rest in Peace.

Patrolman Williams, thank you for your service and dedication. It makes me sad to think that your own department has forgotten your sacrifice. You will never be forgotten by your family. Rest in peace.
