It's been 19 years today. I still remember though, you gave your all to make Stockton a better place. You will never be forgotten. R. Tellyer SJSO (retired) 2009-02-04
To Sgt. Tim White and his loved ones:
On this the nineteenth anniversary of your brutal murder and tragic death, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.
You rescued us, saved our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication in your thirty years of law enforcement are awe-inspiring.
This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.
Rest in Peace, Sgt. White. I am so humbled by your valor and courage. I am holding your family in my heart and prayer today (especially Missy and her brother).
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Tim gave to his community and the citizens of California, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on February 4, 1990.

According to your profile, you started police work when you were 20. Wow! That's young! You accomplished alot in those years and I am sorry your career ended so tragically. Sometimes you get the bad guys and sometimes they get you. Thanks for your service! Lynn Kole Bellingham, WA Anonymous

No fellow California law enforcement personnel killed in the line-of-duty, should be forgotten.
The idea that onlookers just watched and never rendered assistance still irks me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family on this anniversary. Former N.H. Police Officer

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day To respond to calls unknown. He drives a marked patrol car. A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes To make it safe on the streets. But he usually has a second job 'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday 'Cause he works all year round. And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often, The one whos blood runs blue. He seldom ever gets a thanks, To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops 'Cause people just don't understand That underneath his badge and gun, He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow In this world of drugs and crime. And he gets so mad at the court system 'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work, He prays to God above. Please bring me home after my shift So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car, He's alone down this ole' highway. It's just a little traffic infraction. He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window, And his badge is shining bright. He asked the guy for a driver's license, When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark, Striking the officer in the chest. But the Department's budget didn't buy Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding. His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red. And briefly he thought of his loved ones 'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story Of how this officer had died. And some who listened cared less, But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform With his badge pinned on his chest. He even had his revolver, He died doing his best.

My dad was an amazing, caring, loving person. There is not one day that goes by when I do not think about him. His son has grown up to be amazing. He is so smart, dad. He is everything you could ever dream. He looks just like you. I love you dad. Missy white daughter 2007-02-16
Tim, I was working that tragic night and you were my sergeant, if only for a short time. We worked K-9 together and we shared many laughs at training. You will never be forgotten and I think of you every time I run into your brother (which is a on a fairly regular basis). Lt. Mike Evans Stockton PD 2007-02-05
I want to let your family know you are still remembered, even 15 years later. The funeral, particularly the minister's eulogy, left a lasting impression. Ride on, Sarge. OFc. M.D. Haley, #98 City of Berkeley PD, California 2005-08-02
Timmy,
How strange life is; that we so rarely take the time to tell those who made a difference in our lives exactly what that difference was or how much it meant to us. Then, too soon, you were gone and the words remained publically unspoken until now.
Your encouragement (given in that typically and wonderfully snide manner that defined you) kept me going when I felt I had nothing of worth to give in my chosen profession. It did not go unnoticed that you did the same for many . Without you, there is a very good chance that I would have chucked it all early in the game. Had I done so, I would have missed out on the privilege and satisfactions of service to others. I miss you, I think of you often, and I will never forget you.
See you, my friend, Cyndi

Ah Timmy ... has it really been over 15 years? As you used to tell me on a fairly regular basis "it just ain't right". And it still ain't right, no matter how many years it's been.
I remember your wonderfully sarcastic comments when you used come down to the Comm Center; Cyndi and I still laugh over some of them. But more than that I remember what a great officer you were, what a pleasure it was to work with you, and what a true friend you ended up being when things got rough.
Rest in peace, my friend, and the next time I'm back in Stockton I'll be by your grave again to pay a visit because you might be gone but you are certainly not forgotten.
With love and fond remembrances, Linda Linda Orlomoski, Dispatcher American Ambulance Services, Inc. 2005-04-26
God bless you and your family at this tragic loss. You are a hero to us all and we will never forget you. DE St. Louis City Police 2004-06-04
Timmy Hard to believe it's been so long. I remember teasing you in booking when you would bring in prisoners that just seemed to have taken a dislike to you for catching them. I've visited your name on the wall and lit a candle for you. I'll do the same this year. I know you and lump are up there watching over the rest of us. Keep a light on, see you one day my brother.
