Carl Thach was my father. He was killed in the line of duty when I was 10 years old. I am soon to be 66 years old. My mother worked for the MHP as a radio dispatcher for 30 years. My mother is now 85 years old. She raised a 10 year old, a three year old and a 6 week old. My brothers and I still live close to our mother. I have a daughter who is in Law enforcement and is participating in the LEAPS program. When my father was killed, none of these type programs were available. Thank God they are now. Our family has always been connected to the MHP and I grew up being proud that my father was a MHP and proud of the men and woman who were members. I think he would be proud of the way my mother handled her life and raised their children. I think he would be proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia Sue Thach Hoyt YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AND THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE VANDENBERGHE I wish we could have met, but I am still proud to know about you. Kyle McBride Thach
