Bropther Dale I emember the day I got the call about you and brother Al. I also remember your father being such a great supporter of your family during this time of crisis. Know your family is well cared for by your brothers and sisters still here. It was also heart wrenching when your father also made the ultimate sacrifice three weeks after you. I know the two of you are serving in Gods Police Department know and providing great honor and integrity there as you both did here. You will never be forgotten by your brothers and sisters here. Rest in peace.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

You were the featured officer when I got the ODMP today...you gave your life trying to help another officer in need of assistance, and three weeks later, on my brother Jay's first birthday, your father also gave his life in theline of duty. What a tragdey your family has endured. God bless you all and may you and your father rest in peace eternally.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to This Officer, as well as the Family, Friends, Department and Community.

This is a loss that will never be forgotten. Hours have turned into days, days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years but, the difference that these officers have made will last forever.

We lost Our Deputy Morris Taylor on September 14, 2002. When he joined you and the other Angels in Blue.

You gave your life while attempting to save a fellow officer. That is a true hero. I am saddened to learn that your father, also an officer, was slain three weeks after you were taken. The two of you are now together in a much better place. Rest in peace sir.

In the far corners of the world, we experienced far more in our youth than most men do in a lifetime. I am very sorry to learn of your early passing to a better place, someday to be joined by all those who knew and loved you. you will always be in my memory, and in my heart. Til we meet again....

You were killed in the line of duty the day I was born, and now I am a police officer. I wish I could send a reflection to all of my brothers and sisters in blue who have given their life for the greater good of mankind. May you rest in peace. You are not forgotten.
