Brother it has been 56 years since God tranfsfered you to his police department in His kingdom and by now you are a true veteran there. Know you are still missed and remembered here in Phoenix even though the department has multiplied many times. You would not beleive the size of our motor squads today but I know you would be proud of their accomplishments. Your name is forever inscrolled in our hearts in the purest of gold and we will always honor and respect your work here.

I REMEMBER UNCLE WALTER VERY WELL. HE CAME TO OUR HOME OFTEN AND OUR FAMILY AND HIS SHARED MANY HAPPY TIMES. HE WAS A DEVOTED POLICE OFFICER, WHO SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN WWII WITH HONOR, AND MADE ALL WHO KNEW HIM SO PROUD. HE IS SORELY MISSED BY ALL. IT IS A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO ALL OUR FALLEN OFFICERS TO BE HONORED AND REMEMBERED IN THIS WAY.
