YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AND THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE Pat Van Den Berghe MANCHESTER, NH 2008-04-09
Of course I thought of You as CDC-R went into a "State-Wide Lock-Down," with several CO's stabbed this week..... Maj M. B. Parlor USMC / LAPD 2008-04-04
I am always hard on my buddy and many times I serve as the "I watch your back tonight role" when we go out because he serves with the CDC-R. I have the luxury of going to watering holes, where I am least likely to run into anyone I deal with at work. No matter where he goes, he stands a good chance of running into someone who may have been incarcerated and who might recognize him.
That is one of the disadvantages of working CDC-R, which even before the 1980's housed more inmates than the entire prison systems of the what is now the former Soviet Union.
The Men and Women of CDC-R truly have a difficult job and many times even fellow law enforcment personnel seem to be confused regarding their peace officer status.
No fellow California law enforcement personnel killed in the line-of-duty, should be forgotten.
CO Sickles, may Your Soul Rest-In-Peace. Maj M. B. Parlor USMC / LAPD 2008-04-01
