I started my Law Enforcement Carreer at the Midland Police Department back in 1988. I remember seeing the memorials on Officer Scoggins and Lt. Smith, how ever, I do not recall a memorial on Officer Wyrick from 1935. I started as a Civilian Jailor with the MPD and went on to the MCSO and Alpine, Tx P.D. All Officers are appreciated by myself and all citizens. Officer Scoggins you are remembered and Thank You for your Service.

My father was a cousin of Bryan Scoggins. I was born after his death and was given his middle name, Gene as my middle name. My dad thought enough of his cousin, Officer Scoggins to name a son after him and I couldn't agree more.
