Your heroism and service is honored today, the 37th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Rest in Peace, Officer Sanchez. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

I retired from CIM-Chino May 31, 2007 after twenty-five years of service there. Officer Sanchez' badge and a small memorial are in a glass case in the minimum yard administration building. This is the first time I have ever seen officer sanchez' picture. I knew and worked with officer George Fitzgerald who was Jesus' partner the day he was shot (both shot, actually). George told me the complete story of what happened that day. Simply put; This isn't a job for everyone. Dangers lurk everywhere. It is a terrible shame to see this young face hidden forever from his family and friends at the hands of evil men. RIP Jesus. Peace and respect to his family! Lord have mercy on us all.
