 | Trooper Delmond Edward Rondeau Oregon State Police Oregon Friday, April 25, 1947 |
Trooper Rondeau was our grandfather and great-grandfather we never got to know. He left my grandma with 2 young sons when he was murdered. We have heard many great memories of him. My Dad looks so much like him, and followed in his footsteps also becoming part of the Oregon State Police for a period in time.
I never realized until reading up on his murder that the murderer (Pinson) only served 12 years which included an escape from prison. A true miscarriage of justice.
We will always miss that we never had memories to share with you. Know you have an amazing son, who has been an amazing father and grandfather.

Trooper Rondeau, On today, the 59th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Oregon. I can't believe that your killer only served 12 years before being paroled despite the fact that he escaped from prison and was still committing crimes-I think that was a travesty of justice.
