Your spirit lives on in each of us who wear the uniform. Thank you for you service brother.

You gave you life on an Island I love, I spent my childhood growing up there in the summers. I had heard of your death many years ago and have walked the beach with you on my mind. I truly intend to find the place were your plane went down and let everyone know what happened there... I speak of you as often as I speak of my Dad. Please rest now, knowing that you are always remembered by the Maryland State Police and if I can do it everyone will know about your sacrifice.

God Bless you and the loved ones you left behind.

Each day I try to read the ODMP. Today I read your story. Any officer who dies in the line of duty will always be remembered for his sacrifice. You died a hero. Rest in peace Trooper Plummer.

Captain Robert W Cannon, Ret.
Vermilion Co, Il. Sheriff's Dept.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend. Deputy Jeffrey Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.

Trooper Plummer, you are remembered on this date of your death. You will always be remembered.

These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
