i am the great grandson of Officer Charles Linton Phillips. i Would like to thank Dekalb County for there support to his only serviving daughter. she past away this past year and before she died the county found his badge and gave it to her at a dinner for fallen officers. this meant a great deal to her and our family. my father now is the proud owner of the badge and it will belong to me some day.

Gone but not forgotten.

Someone somewhere took the time to post this man's picture and give a brief look at his untimely death.

There are so many more out there with no picture and incomplete stories. Only a name and date of death and a guess as to the circumstances.

I hope that all police departments, Sheriff's Offices, Constable Offices, State Police Headquarters and whatever other names departments go by would take the time to review their records and update their fallen officer's page.

May God through His Son Jesus grant the all forgiveness and eternal peace.

Thank you for your service and dedication. It saddens me to think that not only your department has forgotten you but also the community for which you served. Please know that your ultimate sacrifice is the final measure of your devotion to duty....
