Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Special Agent Nickerson, today marks the 73rd anniversary of your untimely and unnecessary death. I cannot believe that you had to be left out in the cold long enough to get that sick guarding a lousy still. Then again, it shows integrity that you did your duty despite the weather. I commend you for that.

I have great respect for the ATF not only because I have a cousin in its ranks, whom I am very proud of, but also because of the difficult and often thankless job that agency does on a daily basis. You are all heroes, but today Agent Nickerson; you are the one singled out.

For all your efforts on behalf of all Americans, I thank you. You have not been forgotten.
