Not a day goes by where i dont wake up and hope to be half the man that you were. Everytime i read through the reflection or look at your picture, it reminds me i have a family name to live up to.

You would be proud to know that your great-grandson Mark was recently hired as a Police Cadet for the Joliet PD. He follows now only in your footsteps, but that of your grandson Robert, who was a Patrol officer here, but more recently has been employed as a Sergeant with the Will County Forest PReserve PD.

Not a day goes by that I don't walk by the JPD memorial and look at your picture and badge and think of you and all the other officers who lost their lives while employed at JPD. Please look down on us all and help us do our best in our chosen profession.
