Chief Mull, it's heartbreaking that you were denied retirement due to an accident, though regardless of the reason, it's a sad tragedy for all who knew and loved you best, and of course the Officer who's firearm discharged. No doubt he lived with a heavy heart for the rest of his life.

On this 66th anniversary of that awful event, I just want to say that you have NOT been forgotten. May you continue to Rest in Peace and God Bless, Brother.

On the 54th anniversary of Chief Mull's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Chief Mull is not forgotten.

William Thomas Mull is my great-grandfather. He died before I was born, but I had heard the stories of his death many times growing up. With the help of many family, I was able to get him on the Georgia and National Law Enforcement Memorials. As a direct decendant, it was the least I could do for a man who gave his live in the line of duty. Being at the candle light vigil with my mom ( who has since passed away) when the name of William Thomas Mull was called out is one of my most precious memories.
