Chief Moyer was my great-great grandfather. I didn't know much about him until recently. Sounds like he was a great man. Proud that he's one of my ancestors.

Chief Moyer was my great grandfather. Although I never got to meet him I feel so proud to be related to him. I heard he was a man of great integrity, strength and loyalty to his office. My mother told me that he was very well thought of and respected and was a friend to all. Thank you patrolman Bates for the very kinds words you said about him. It sounds like you are a man of integrity as well and I'm sure you will leave a legacy like my grandfather.

I WORKED AT THE BAXTER SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT EARLY IN MY CAREER. THOUGH SEPERATED BY YEARS, WE PATROLLED THE SAME STREETS, ANSWERED THE SAME CALLS, AND I'M SURE WE EVEN DEALT WITH THE SAME FAMILIES. IN THIS WAY WE ARE BROTHERS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACERFICE. WE WILL FOREVER BE IN DEBT TO YOU.
