Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Motorcycle Patrolman Marvin R. Morton

Officer Morton's nephew was Rusty Staub, a great baseball player and even better person, who started the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. Rusty's brother, Chuck, says it was done to honor their uncle. So Officer Morton, you live on in a very important way.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your memory will always be honored and revered as time never diminishes respect.

Rest In Peace
