Nearly 80 years after your unfortunate death and your great heroism, your courage and service have not been forgotten… and never will.

Every week we research about honorable lawmen of the Tulsa Police Department who were killed in the line of duty. This research promotes the right mindset and helps us pay special attention to our officer safety before going to the streets of Tulsa to serve our community.

Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was shot twice when ambushed on April 23rd when he was on a foot pursuit of two bank robbers, 72 years after you were killed.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
