Scotty was a good friend of mine and my family's. I was young when he was shot, but I still remember his funeral. He and my father were in Bowie Vol. Fire Dept. Everybody loved Scotty, and he was a good cop.

It's sad to see him gone

Zach Webster

As a former MPDC Officer (1971-73),retired Richmond Pd, and vol.firefighter I can relate. May God always bless his family and keep the MPDC safe.

Scott and I were young Sesonal Police Officers together in the summer of 1991. We worked for the Ocean City PD, Ocean City MD. That spring we attended the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy and became close friends. When we started to work, I was assigned daylight patrol and Scott worked Midnight. Scott was kind enough to drop off his vest for me on many occassions without me asking. (I was to poor to buy one) After that Summer we went our seperate ways. Scott tried to reach out to me several times but I guess I was to busy to keep in touch. I regret that now. He was a very good and caring person with a great sense of humor. From my own knowledge and what I had heard he was an excellent police officer as well. He also volunteered his time as a Fire fighter and must be deeply missed by his community, family and friends.
