Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

my mother,dorothy mcginley prince,niece of patrolman mcginley,states that he lost control of the motorcycle trying to avoid a lady with a child, and hit a palm tree on victory dr.i don't know if this is entirely correct but it is what the family believes.

Please note this was a 1916 Motocycle and this was the only way to make such an adjustment.

Also I have reason to believe he was on the way to assist another Officer who was in a life threatening situation.
