Rest in Peace Sheriff Robert L. May. Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice to the citizens of Grayson County, Texas.

I Pray for Peace for your ancestors and the men and women that now serve the Grayson County Sheriff's Office. I also Pray that the hounds of hell forever gnaw on the bones of those responsible for your murder. May they rot in hell!

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

i never even knew this man or family. i have also never known anyone lost in the line of duty. i happened to stop at an old cemetary along hwy 901 in whitesboro tx only to discover this brave mans headstone. inscribed on it was his name and that he served as sheriff and died doing his job. i naturally was curious to find out more so i looked his name up and found this. i felt that i needed to leave this message to honor his memory as well as all those who died protecting us. lost but not forgotten.

One hundred and sixteen years after your death you are still remembered as a true American hero. Greater love hath no man.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
