Reflections for Officer James J. Mancusi, Jr.

My father (Ray Main)served with Officer Mancusi for a time and he was so impacted by his fellow officer and friends’ death. He always spoke of him so highly. May you Rest In Peace Sir and God Bless your family always!

As we get older we get melancholy. I didn’t know you, I was born in March the year you died. I saw your name on the opening credits of a film and as a current police officer I just was interested if they used a real wall of remembrance and it seems they did.
As a father myself I hope my children remember me as fondly sir. Thanks for your service.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both their pain and pride are forever. I hope to meet your family at a COPS function one day.

Dear Grandfather,
We think of you often and wish we had met you. We love you as if you were here with us every day. We have always been proud or you, and we have learned to forgive the person who took you away from us. You will always be in our hearts forever.
