Reflections for Patrolman J. Fred Koch

Rest in peace always knowing that your service will never, ever be forgotten as no passage of time will ever erase your sacrifice.

My grandpa used to tell me about you when I was growing up, he said there was a whole line of children that walked behind as you were carried to your place of rest, he said you were a courageous and honorable Police officer that many people had a great deal of respect for! I wish I could've met you! Someday maybe we will! I love you! And if BIG HANDSOME GRANDPA is up there with you tell him I said hi and I love and miss him very much!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
