Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sheriff C. Roy Kelly

Although I didn't know Sheriff Kelly personally, The Heartfelt loss of his life in the manner it was taken will linger with me for ever, Some days as I patrol past where the Barker gang gunned him down I visualize what happened that day. As a succeeding Deputy for Howell County it is truly an honor to serve in the same county of which Sheriff Kelly was the our honorable Sheriff.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
