Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Patrolman Jones , I have been with Franklin P. D. for 10 1/2 years now .Certainly things have changed since you patrolled the streets of Franklin however the one thing that will never change is the crime and violence that continue daily in every community across America . Every day the brave men and women of law enforcement place their live's on the line in order to protect and serve their communities and tragically many make the ultimate sacrifice . I want you to know that the department has awarded you with the Medal of Honor in recognition of your service and sacrifice to the citizens of Franklin , it has been placed next to the main entrance so today's generation of warriors can be reminded of the sacrifice made by a brother officer . The core values of the Franklin Police Department are honor , courage , integrity and commitment on the night of May 12, 1932 you displayed these values in the service of your fellow man .

Rest in peace and thank you for your commitment to the City of Franklin .
