Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Inspector Albert Leander Jacks

My father was your son, Quentin Lewis Marion Jacks. You passed away when he was nine years old. Your daughter, my beloved Aunt Mary, made sure all of us knew everything about you. She gave me all of the articles about you, your badge, whistle, etc,- everything she saved. She made sure your memory lives on. I, in turn, have made sure my sons know you.

I never had the chance to meet you. I am one of your great-granddaughters. I have heard many stories about you from Grandma (your daughter) and am so honored and proud to be a member of your family.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
