Reflections for Constable Edgar Eugene "Isom" Isgitt

Constable Isgitt had four daughters. One of those daughters, Olivia, was my husband’s grandmother. She passed when my father-in law was a little boy so we never got to know her. We can never know the void that is created by the taking of a life. Godspeed, Edgar.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 101rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother......
