So glad we found this website of my great grandfather years ago. It was humbling lwhen my husband and I went to the Jefferson Cuty Missouri Memorial for fallen officers. 127 years ago tomorrow Clark's life was taken, but his descendants know of his bravery and will make sure future generations never forget him or his family.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 124th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Patrolman Irven,
On today, the 122nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Canton. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. It angers me that a politician would pardon the pos that killed you after only serving 13 years in prison.

I am so thankful for this web-site. As my family pieces together questions we have about our ancestors, we ran across the information about our grandfather, Clark Minor Irven was killed in Canton, Missouri on October 19, 1889. He was born in Ohio in 1834 and was married to Eliza M. Sterrett (July 30, 1854-May 15, 1942). Together, they had several children and many grandchildren.

Without this page to honor the fallen, we would have never known the details of his death. Having this information led us to the newspaper articles in Canton, Missouri and has provided great information; thank you!

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
