Hey Mr. Stemen,
I had the opportunity to become good friends with Jonah. Jonah is a very strong and inspiring person. He is always there for other people that had a family member die in the line of duty. I look up to Jonah and I consider him my brother. You would be proud of him. I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixteenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

I met all three of your children over the past years and they are all amazing people. They all are very strong and inspiring. I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know them. They assure me that I can make it through this tradgey that has happened. You should be very proud to be their father. You will never be forgotten.
