My name is Kevin Horan and I am a FBI Special Agent. I have been with the bureau for 17 years. I've often wondered if SA Richard Horan and I are somehow distantly related as my linage is from upstate NY. Like Richard, I have worked violent crime matters my entire career. I have chased many fugitives into places like the one Richard died in. Men like him are heroes, who continue to watch over us and protect us from heaven. I am honored to carry the Horan name forward in the FBI.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 55th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all that love and remember you. Your family is in my heart's embrace today.

Rest In Peace.

I was looking for this hero's son, a friend of mine, I had lost touch with. I went to school with his son, who is quite a gentleman. Thank you for your sacrifice.
