Reflections for Police Officer Fred Holwedel
Fred,
"Heros Live Forever".
God Speed Brother, You will NEVER be forgotten.
August 22, 2005
Fred Holwedel appears as Frederick G. Holwedel in the 1910 U.S. Census, before he became a police officer. His occupation at that time was "Machinist, Brass Works". His wife was Marie Holwedel, and they would have been married seven years at the time of his death. They had one son in 1910, Stanley, just one year old. Unfortunately, the street the family was living on is badly blurred in the census report and cannot be read, but it was in Ward 18. The son does not appear in the 1920 census; perhaps he died young which is why he is not noted on the main page for Officer Holwedel.
Regardless, they are not forgotten.
