Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I am too young to know about this case, but my heart goes out to his family. I am good friends with the current Chief of Police of Sand Springs and his wife and I know all of their children. It scares me things like this happen. I am grateful we have a safe town because of our police force! RIP Huskey, you are remembered!!!!!!!

Asst. Chief Huskey,
On today, the 74th anniversary of your murder I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Sand Springs. Your murderers might not have gotten what they deserved here, but hopefully they received the justice they deserved from the Supreme Judge of all.

Thank you, Assistant Chief Huskey, for giving your life to protect the citizens of Sand Springs. You are a true example of a hero then, and a true example of the heroes now that risk their lives every day to serve and protect.

I met your family yesterday at your memorial and head stone dedication service. They are proud people who talk of you with pride in their voice. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Your headstone now reads..."True heros are never forgotten" and sir you never will be.

Our department has found that your grave site was unmarked. This will be taken care of in the near future. citizens and officers have donated the funds to have a proper headstone placed at your site. We have contacted your family and there will be a formal ceremony this spring (2003) with all honor. Additional funds are being raised to place a memorial in town so that all can have the opportunity to honor you and your service. You will never be forgetton for your service and dedication.

Thank you for your service. The research into your life has been very enlightening. I spoke with your grandson who is very proud and a great assistance on updating our file. Your wife now resides in Oregon and will be 105 this year (2003). Your case has been closed, all the known suspects are dead now, but your sacrifice will never be forgotten. We will honor your courage and dedication forever. Rest in peace brother.
