Guard Harty,
On today, the 92nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served during the Spanish-American War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

Dear Grandpa Harty,

Though I never met you, your memory lives on in the hearts of your family. We are updating your records with additional pictures and information for the new 2014 edition of the fallen officers book for the St. Louis City Police. We will be attending the memorial breakfast this coming May, and look forward to meeting family and friends of the fallen officers' fraternity. Rest assured that your life's work will be remembered, and may you rest in peace until we meet again.

Your loving grandson,

Michael (your son Edmund's son)

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
