Reflections for Patrolman Winfred O. Hanna

Patrolman Hanna,
On today, the 70th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 58th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered. .

Rest In Peace

I just read the memorial for Patrolman Winfred O. Hanna. Though it's been 51 years since he gave his life he will forever be remembered as a true American hero, thanks in part to the ODMP.
It is my solemn prayer that God keep safe from harm the men and women of the Texas Department of Public Safety. They are some of the finest that law enforcement has to offer. God bless each of you.

It was an interesting thing, as today while I was in Terrell's Barber Shop, I was reading in Retired Texas Ranger Glenn Elliott's new book. I came across the death of DPS Trooper Winfred O. Hanna.

I'm sure that there are some of his family members who still reflect on this tragic event, but hopefully, all will reflect on his life and the contribution he made to mankind. Ranger Elliott gave a remarkable tribute to him.

May the Lord Bless and Keep those He left behind,
