My Dear Cousin;

I was only a child but I remembered like Yesterday when my family was struck with this news. Everyone was so hurt. I always remember you showing up to Grandmas house in your Jeep. You died doing what you loved even when you were off duty (my cousin was off-duty when he was murdered) I always look up to you. You will be remembered.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 16th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
