Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

Patrolman Graziano, it has been 59 years since you were taken from us. I had the greatest honor of running the NH Police Cadet Training Academy several years ago when your grandson, Eddie, was enrolled as a 15-year-old. I was with his 3rd-year group when we took them to the NH Police Officer's Memorial on the grounds of the Statehouse. He was staring at your name, and it was only then that I made the connection. He told me some of what he knew and how he wanted to be the next Graziano to wear a badge in NH. He stood tall and was clearly very proud to be the namesake of the hero on the memorial. I have retired and only hope that Eddie is either on his way to, or is now wearing that badge!

New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your militaryand law enforcement service.

My dad was Captain Donald Boyer, who loved "Rocky" like a brother. Rocky came to our home several times, and my 4 and 5-year-old self thought he was so kind and handsome. I was sure I was going to marry him one day! That is my favorite reflection. Another is when Rocky's tragic accident happened, I saw my dad cry. Not only cry, but sob, weep, and truly mourn. I don't think I had ever seen him like that before or since. My dad also had a helmet that he always kept. He said it was Rocky's helmet. Dad would love to know all the wonderful things the citizens of Nashua have done for his dear "best" friend. But he too is on the other side. Hopefully, Daddy, Rocky, and Armand Rousell are all smoking cigars and enjoying themselves!!

It's now been 52 years and in a post I left in 2009 I failed to mention that my hometown PD had Grazianos. Good men who did their time honorably and made it to retirement. It's still tragic and heartbreaking that you did not.

I can't help but wonder if you may have been related.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Officer Graziano, today marks the 45th anniversary of your tragic death. It does not say why this accident happened or even if it was actually an accident, but regardless, you did not make it home from your shift. You spent your career with three different agencies but it was the Nashua PD that truly lost you. You have not been forgotten.
