Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54thth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I was saddened to see that Christmas Day is the eow for so many, many officers. Rest In Peace.

I was born two years after the tragedy when we lost James Julian Goodson. In his honor, my father, officer Goodson's brother and my father, gave me the same middle name "Julian" as a remembrance. I remember stories of this big man with the size fifteen shoes who would eat a dozen eggs for breakfast who I never had a chance to meet. I carry his name and think about that Christmas Eve when he was lost while going to another officer's aid. - Mike Goodson
