Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

Officer Gonzalez, the lives of your loved ones changed the day you were killed. The lives of my loved ones were changed that day as well, it was the day I was born, February 28th 1960. Maybe it's been you watching-out for me all these years, especially since becoming an officer in 1986. The time has likely healed the wounds of your family's loss. You are at peace. Thank you, and keep watching over all of us as you walk your beat in Heaven.
