Your heroism and service is honored today, the 72nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

I'm glad I was able to update your information here on the ODMP, Sheriff Gillespie. GOD bless and may you continue to rest in peace. I intend to visit your place of rest there at the Wahoo Baptist Church on Hwy 52 when next I am in Lumpkin County so that I may pay my respects in person. Until then ...
