Sgt. Gaughan, how sad it is that the Commonwealth lost two fine cops on the same day, you and Patrolman Abbot of the Boston PD are forever memorialized here. Truly the citizens of Needham lost a vital part of the town on November 28, 1931. On this 75th anniversary of your tragic death, I just want to say, God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
