Every Memorial Day I think of the Great-Grandfather I never was allowed to meet and for my mother, the grandfather she was too young to remember when he was so coldly taken from us. He sacrificed his life for all those he served near and far.

Thank you Great Granddaddy Galloway. You are missed. My Papaw always spoke so highly of you and the wound of losing you was still fresh with him up until he took his last breath on this earth.

On this Memorial Day weekend I honor you and all those fallen by volunteering my time serving those who serve or have served at the Memorial Day Walk, Carry The Load, in Dallas.

Thank you and you are missed.

My Great Grandpaw was Jake's partner Gus Gill. They are not forgotten but celebrated as my Hero's. God bless Jake and his family. Our families are forever linked by that tragic night. I just wish I could have met them. I carry a picture of our Great Grandpaws with me at all times. God Bless, Mike Gill

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
