Even though I have never met you, I am proud to be a part if your family. I remember growing up, going to a service in your honor every year. I thank you for being a brave man, putting your life on the line and paying the ultimate sacrifice. Your daughter was a wonderful grandmother. You would have been proud! May I someday meet you!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
