I went through the Academy with Rudy . He was a class act . As cool as Steve McQueen. Never had a bad word to say about anyone . Always conducted himself like man's man. Movie star handsome. Girls loved him . . He loved Motorcycles like me . He was the best of the best . Journey well and blessings, my Brother. I will see you on the other side . . RM

Dear Rudy,
We never met but I have so much to thank you for ...you were a close friend of my dad and whenever I tell friends how my parents met it is impossible to not talk about you! My parents met at your funeral so I think it is safe to say that without your sacrifice I would not be here today. You are gone but not forgotten for sure! Thank you for everything. ..rest easy

It was my honor to research newspapers, books and magazines and finally find your Color ID Card Photo and make sure your photo was put on this site instead of the B & W one. I wanted to put a face to your heroism in the Line of Duty. I did the research because you are a brother officer and no matter how many years past, you will always be remembered. Rest Easy Hero.

I am so sorry for the loss of all the officers listed here. But this one really hits home. I wore the same 3438 badge number as a NYC Transit Police Officer in 1982 and a NYC Police Officer. Then turned it in when promoted to Detective.

You are not forgotten. Rest In Peace.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully honor our heroes of the present, we must
recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 19th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

My nephew, you would be proud to see how your Dad, Rudolph P. Thomas, Sr. has raised your two brothers, Isaiah & Rudy lll. He has instructed them to stay in contact with your seven uncles & aunts. They call each of us on our birthdays & we do the same to them. You are missed & never far from our thoughts.

Dearest Rudy..
There are so many memories of the three of us... You, Ressy and me, in grandma's kitchen, looking out the window at the courtyard behind Pennsylvania Avenue. Hanging out on the stoop at Decatur Street (cause we weren supposed to leave the gate(!)) . So much fun, getting into so much trouble. Your laughter is part of the soundtack of my life and I miss you terribly.Your loss affects us all to this day. A piece of our hearts left with you and will always be with you. So much has happened Rudy... I miss you and wish you were here. We were supposed to get old together! I love and miss you Rudy, with all my heart..
