Rest in Peace, Marshal Frisbie. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 105th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I've had the chance to research some of your history. I know that you were involved in a least one other gun battle while serving as the Undersheriff here in Prowers County. A few weeks ago I visited your grave at the Riverside Cemetery here in Lamar and I am inspired by your dedication and commitment to our chosen profession. Thanks for your sacrifice James Horace Frisbie.

Marshal Frisbie - Two Fridays ago, I stood in the State Assembly chamber, when your name was one of the almost 250 read off during a motion regarding next month's Police Memorial Week. We will, at that time, wear our mourning bands in memory of all who have fallen in service to our communities. Thank you for your service to the people of Lamar and the State of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
