Reflections for Patrolman Roy W. Freiss

You were gone way too soon. It would have been great to know you! But God's timing is perfect and we may not have become the people we are today. My grandpap became an officier, my dad and my uncle too. They are proud of the legacy you have left them. I got to know your beautiful wife and was an honor to have known her. She inspired me to become a nurse, a wife, and the mom I am today. Your influences still live on. I am putting up old pictures of my grand parents in my house and I am so excited to put up this one of you...

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. . My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace

The grandfather I have never known...the young father who was taken away from a family much too soon...my father Roy was five when his father and namesake, was taken away from him...I sometimes wonder how all of our lives would have been different had we had this man in our lives...he would be proud to know two of his sons followed in his footsteps and became officers in the Pittsburgh PD...William and Thomas...who are now retired...rest in peace Pap

Officer Freiss it has been almost 70 years, but we still have drunk drivers on our roads.
I don't see any difference in DUI and shooting a gun toward a growed of people. You may not hit anyone, or you may kill two or three.Only difference I see is the shooter gets charged with wanton endagerment, and goes to prison. While the drunk driver gets his charge lowered, by someone who is afraid they want get re-elected, and is back on the street the next day.
