Reflections for Patrolman Dayton Foster

A 9-year old reflection on this memorial page led me to post here, as well. Detention Officer Zambito is correct when he said that "as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us." I wholeheartedly agree, and even though your service and your death were before I was born, Officer Foster's life has meaning and value to me. I am grateful to have stumbled onto your page today, Officer Foster. May you continue to rest in peace.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

I am your great-grand son, and though we never met, I know your blood flows thru my veins. I am a retired police officer now, after serving the Santa Ana Police Department in California for 26 years. Your great great grand son may be following in yours, and my footsteps. Hopefully, someday we will walk a "beat" in heaven together.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 81rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
